Rachel budd ‘25
Head of Poetry Board
Rachel is a senior from Bow, New Hampshire majoring in Literature. During the school year, you can find her dancing on stage, tutoring in digital media or at the writing center, hiking in the Adirondacks, or playing spikeball with her friends! She is passionate about T.S. Eliot's poetry and has been the recipient of the Frederick Reese Wagner Prize Scholarship, the Barrett-Briggs Scholarship, the Dwight N. Lindley Prize, and the Kellogg Essay Prize during her time at Hamilton for her studies in literature.

JULIA SMITH ‘25
Julia Smith is a senior at Hamilton College studying Sociology, Spanish, and Literature. She's from Houston, Texas, and has been an avid reader and writer since elementary school. In addition to being a member of Red Weather's poetry board, she's a co-captain of the Club Figure Skating team and a Sociology TA. She loves the blueberry commons coffee, Christmastime, and her family. Her favorite poet is Mary Oliver.
DANA BLATTE ‘26
Dana Blatte is a junior from Sharon, MA majoring in Anthropology and Creative Writing. Her work appears online in THRUSH Poetry Journal, The Adroit Journal, and Redivider Magazine, among others. She loves fairy tales, unnecessarily long walks, and hoarding pastries from the dining halls.

Senna Camp ‘26
Senna is a third-year who lives near Boston, MA. She plans to major in Environmental Studies and hopes to do a semester abroad in France! On campus, she is also involved with Slow Food and rides with the equestrian team. Her favorite books are The Parable of the Sower and the The Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler and Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica, which are all utterly gut-wrenching books and immaculate reads. Her preferred medium is poetry.
Gabrielle Brihn ‘26
Gabrielle Brihn is a junior from Cleveland, Ohio. She has always enjoyed writing and reading, but she discovered poetry her sophomore year of high school and has been in love with it ever since. She enjoys learning how to play the guitar, running, and mac and cheese.
Brendan Byrne ‘26
Brendan is a Junior from Yonkers, New York, majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Government and Medieval & Renaissance Studies. He writes poetry, journalism, and criticism, and possesses an insatiable love for both learning and nature. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Monitor, Vice President of the Philosophy Club, sings in the Hamilton College Choir, and works in the theater department's Scene Construction Shop. His work has been published with Green Ink Poetry Press, The Hyacinth Review, and The Shore.
Dylan Buckser-Schulz ‘27
Dylan is a second-year from Westchester, New York, who plans to major in Creative Writing. On campus, you can find him playing drums for Hamilton's Jazz Ensemble, playing Badminton with Hamilton's Badminton Club, or joyfully sauntering through the glens. Dylan is the recipient of a fine arts award in creative writing from Interlochen Center for the Arts, and was selected to attend the 2022 Iowa Young Writers' Studio, where he studied poetry under Gilad Jaffe. His work has been published in Kalopsia Literary Journal. His favorite poet is Carl Phillips. He loves his Nintendo Switch, indulging lots of ice cream, and long conversations.

Jackson Smith ‘27
Jackson is a sophomore from Newtown, Pennsylvania, who intends to major in Literature and Government. He’ll read absolutely anything he can get his hands on, though he especially enjoys psychological introspection and surrealism. He can be found playing trumpet with the Jazz Ensemble, aimlessly wandering through Root Glen, or holed up in the library waiting for inspiration to strike.

Thalia Honorat ‘28
Thalia is a multimedia artist from NYC and New Jersey with a very undecided major, currently exploring Art, Government, and Africana Studies. She writes poetry and paints portraits, constantly exploring the intersections between her different forms of expression. You can find her around campus heading to rehearsal or some club meeting with J. Cole in her headphones, drinking matcha at Euphoria, or pretending to do homework in the library.

Jae Thomes ‘25
Head of Prose Board
Jae is a senior studying creative writing at Hamilton College. He is passionate about LGBTQ+ fiction and won the George A. Watrous Literary Prize for prose in his sophomore year. He has experience as an editorial intern at Red Hen Press (red theme!) and works as a peer advisor at the Hamilton College Career Center. When he isn't writing or editing, he's usually playing tabletop roleplaying games or reading for inspiration.

ALISON ISKO '25
Alison Isko is a senior who is majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in French. As she’s from New York City, she’s developed far too many opinions on far too many things, primarily about other people’s writing. Outside of Red Weather, she’s Editor-in-Chief of Suture (Hamilton’s interdisciplinary academic journal) and has interned at several publishing houses and literary agencies. Her work has been published in Glass Mountain.
WILLA KARR ‘25
Willa Karr is a senior from Hoboken, NJ. She plans to major in Anthropology, with a double minor in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing. She has always loved writing, and spends most of her free time journaling or reading fiction for inspiration. At Hamilton, she plays rugby, works on campus sustainability, is a co-chair of the Planned Parenthood board, and a DJ for the WHCL radio show. During her free time, she likes to go on hikes and spend time outdoors with her friends.
Morgan Hodorowski ‘26
Morgan Hodorowski is a junior from Hillsborough, New Jersey considering studies in Literature, Chinese, and Philosophy. In addition to the Red Weather Prose Broad, she is also an editor for Suture and The Continental. and organizes volunteer opportunities for HAVOC. When she's not spending hours annotating text, you can find her avidly consuming any and all fantasy and sci-fi media.

Emily Forslof ‘26
Emily is a third-year born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada (pronounced Nuh-vahh-duh) who currently resides somewhere north of the middle of nowhere in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She is a Creative Writing major with a minor in taking advantage of Hamilton's open curriculum. On any given day, you can find her fueling her coffee addiction, tutoring in the Writing Center, broadcasting music for WHCL, making art for Hamilton's feminist publication Green Apple, practicing with her band, and procrastinating her own personal writing. As both an Opportunity Programs Scholar and Kirkland Scholar, she is passionate that everyone has a story to tell, and she can't wait to hear yours!

Haley Sharpe ‘27
Haley is a sophomore from Southbury, Connecticut, exploring majors in Creative Writing or Literature, and maybe even Psychology. She loves curating niche playlists for her radio show and you can often find her tucked into the green couch at FoJo with a chai latte, courtesy of her employee discount. A lover of warm sweaters and reading eclectic fiction, she’s resolved to spend more time wandering the glen this year. She was awarded the David Kenyon Webster Prize for Excellence in Writing.

Lauryn Socha is a senior from Buffalo, NY. She plans to major in Art or Sociology. She loves taking photographs, digital and film, and playing around with photoshop. She had a couple of her photographs shown at the Albright Knox Museum’s AK teens exhibit. You can usually find her sewing, skiing, listening to music, or cooking!

Maia is a senior who grew up in Colorado, moved to São Paulo, Brazil in middle school and spent most of high school in Tokyo, Japan. She loves creating all kinds of mixed media art working with collage, paint, and photography. Her artwork and poetry has been published in her high school's literary and arts magazine. When she's not creating, she loves running, exploring the outdoors, and playing ultimate frisbee with her team.

CATE IVEN ‘25
Cate Iven is a senior from Syracuse, New York. She finds inspiration in both fine arts and writing, but mainly practices sculpture and painting. She loves bright colors, which you can often see integrated into her art. Outside of the studio, she enjoys hiking, reading, playing volleyball, and crying over her chem homework.

Alya MacDonald ‘25
Alya is a senior from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she has lived ever since moving from Chicago at the age of six. She is studying Studio Art and Biology at Hamilton College and loves all things that lie at the intersection of art and science. She enjoys all things photography, from photographs that capture the intimacy of human nature to those that explore the intricacies of the microscopic world. She loves practicing aerial arts, playing guitar, and going on adventures.

Caitlin Blanksteen ‘27
Caitlin Blanksteen is a sophomore from Renton, Washington, who is interested in biology, archaeology, and visual art. She loves late night walks, spending time with her friends, and rewatching her favorite shows over and over again. When bored, Caitlin feels the need to create; you can often find her drawing, painting, and sewing. Caitlin particularly enjoys creating mixed media art and intertwining art and writing.
